One of Turley's most celebrated single-vineyard Zinfandels, Rattlesnake Ridge comes from a high-elevation vineyard in Amador County planted with old-vine Zinfandel. A wine of extraordinary concentration and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Appearance
Deep, inky ruby-purple with excellent density.
Nose
Blackberry jam, blueberry, and dark plum lead, with notes of black pepper, dried herbs, and a hint of leather. Classic old-vine Zinfandel character.
Palate
Full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins and a rich, concentrated mid-palate. The palate is dense and layered, with dark fruit, spice, and earth notes that build to a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long and spicy, with lingering notes of dark fruit, black pepper, and fine tannin.
