2019 · Cabernet Sauvignon
750ml · 14.5% ABV
CASK 23 is the iconic flagship of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars — a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's most prized blocks in the Stags Leap District. The 2019 vintage is a benchmark expression of this legendary wine.
Appearance
Deep, luminous ruby-garnet with exceptional density.
Nose
Black currant, blackberry, and dark cherry lead, with notes of cedar, graphite, violets, and dark chocolate. A complex, multi-layered bouquet of extraordinary depth.
Palate
Full-bodied with extraordinarily fine, silky tannins — the hallmark of the Stags Leap District. The palate is dense and layered, with black fruit, mineral, and cedar notes that build through the mid-palate to a finish of remarkable length and precision.
Finish
Exceptionally long, with over 90 seconds of persistent black fruit, mineral, and fine-grained tannin. A wine of great aging potential.
