Sierra Foothills heritage winemaking since 1977
Shenandoah Vineyards has been crafting wines from the Amador County Foothills since 1977, when Leon Sobon and his family purchased the historic D'Agostini Winery — one of California's oldest continuously operating wineries, founded in 1856. The estate's old-vine Zinfandel plantings, some dating back over a century, produce wines of remarkable concentration and complexity. Shenandoah Vineyards is a cornerstone of the Sierra Foothills wine community, producing a wide range of varietals that showcase the region's unique combination of gold rush history, volcanic soils, and warm days with cool mountain nights.
