Anderson Valley's finest traditional-method sparkling wine
Roederer Estate was established in 1982 when Louis Roederer — the legendary Champagne house founded in 1776 — selected Anderson Valley in Mendocino County as the ideal California site for traditional-method sparkling wine. The estate's 580 acres of vineyards, planted primarily to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, benefit from the valley's cool marine climate, foggy mornings, and warm afternoons — conditions that produce grapes of exceptional acidity and complexity. Roederer Estate's wines are made entirely from estate-grown fruit, using the traditional Champagne method with extended aging on the lees. The flagship Brut is widely regarded as one of California's finest sparkling wines, offering the elegance and complexity of Champagne at a fraction of the price. The estate also produces a prestige cuvée, L'Ermitage, which rivals the finest vintage Champagnes in quality and longevity.
