The Napa Valley's most sought-after cult Cabernet
Harlan Estate was founded in 1984 by Bill Harlan, a real estate developer who set out to create a Napa Valley first growth — a wine that could stand alongside the great châteaux of Bordeaux. The estate's 240 acres on the western hillsides above Oakville, planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, produce wines of extraordinary concentration, complexity, and longevity. Harlan Estate's first commercial vintage was 1990, and within a decade it had achieved cult status — a wine that routinely receives perfect scores from the world's leading critics and commands prices that rival the greatest Bordeaux. The estate is farmed with meticulous attention to detail, with yields kept extremely low to concentrate flavor. Winemaker Bob Levy, who has guided Harlan Estate since 1996, is widely regarded as one of California's greatest winemakers.
An exclusive private visit to the estate, including a tour of the vineyards and cellars, and a tasting of current and library vintages with a member of the winemaking team.
Harlan Estate does not offer public event facilities. Private visits are by invitation only.
